El Grupo Pesado es una agrupación de música regional mexicana, denominada también música grupera o norteña (por haber surgido en el norte de México). Es considerado como uno de los grupos que inició una nueva generación de este tipo de música, dándole una frescura que ha tenido bastante aceptación en México y Estados Unidos y abriendo las puertas a nuevos grupos del mismo movimiento.
El éxito que ha tenido les ha merecido el “eslogan” de: “El Grupo Que Vale Lo Que Pesa…..!!!”.
